B&B Hotel opens in Torcy with support from IDF Tourisme & Territoires

IDF Tourisme & Territoires, a subsidiary of SEM IDF Investissements & Territoires, is partnering with various stakeholders to support the development of a new B&B hotel in Torcy, located in the ZAC des Coteaux de la Marne.

The first stone for this new 95-room hotel was laid on June 4, marking an important milestone in the development of tourism infrastructure in the Greater Paris area.

Located near key attractions such as the Vaires-Torcy Leisure Islands and Disneyland Paris, the B&B hotel aims to meet the growing demand for accessible, well-located accommodations. This hotel is a part of a broader strategy to enhance the region’s tourism offerings, particularly in areas with a lack of suitable accommodation.

The project aligns with the region’s tourism development strategy and its broader focus on sustainable urban development. The hotel’s design includes features such as a green roof, photovoltaic energy production, and a wooden construction, supporting the decarbonization goals of the hospitality industry.

“This hotel represents a balanced project, both a pivotal element in the ZAC’s development and a key tourist anchor in the Greater Paris area,” “It shows that economic development, tourism attractiveness, and ecological transition can progress together when collective intelligence is at the forefront.” – Hamida Rezeg, President of IDF Tourisme & Territoires.

The project benefits from a strong public-private partnership, including co-investors Invest Hôtels & Development, Alliance Beymik, and financial partner Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie. This collaboration reflects a shared goal of creating attractive, sustainable, and accessible destinations for all, with a focus on integrating the hotel into its surrounding environment.

IDF Tourisme & Territoires continues to play a crucial role in developing tourism infrastructure in regions with high potential for growth, that are not necessarily in the centre of Paris. For example, in 2022 IDF Tourisme & Territoires had teamed up with a pool of investors, in order to build the new Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Colombes, Hauts-de-Seine.

The organization’s investment strategy focuses on supporting projects that improve the tourism experience while fostering local economic development and environmental sustainability.
