Costco’s fan-favorite food court just started selling a seasonal apple pie sundae, featuring the store’s signature soft serve, generous chunks of cinnamon-scented apple pie filling and flaky bites of pie crust. Even though I was at Costco on a busy Saturday with a full shopping list in hand, I had to march right up to the kiosk and order one for myself.
How does Costco’s apple pie sundae taste?

When it comes to soft serve, I always gravitate toward vanilla, and apple pie just might be my favorite dessert of all time, so this sundae was made for me. Hovering near the service area, I spotted the Costco associate preparing my apple pie sundae, and they were not skimping on the “good stuff.” There were generous scoops of the pie crust and apple pie filling on the bottom of the cup. Then they piled it high with my beloved vanilla soft serve and finished it off with even more of the sundae toppings. It was so full, the lid barely fit!
That first bite did not disappoint. I loved the spoon-sized chunks of apple pie filling and the big pieces of cookie-like pie crust. When it all swirled together with the melting vanilla soft serve, I couldn’t help but get excited for Thanksgiving dinner (well, dessert). Of all the Costco sundaes I’ve sampled, this one hit the mark best in terms of variety of textures and flavors, and stood out as a reason to head to Costco even if you don’t need anything else. I’m already planning to go back to get another sundae while it’s still available.
How long will Costco’s food court serve the apple pie sundae?
Costco always remains tight-lipped about how long customer favorites will be available. Given this is a limited-time seasonal treat, I would recommend swinging by the food court sooner rather than later while fall is still here.
