Lifestyle Hospitality Capital acquires Roomers Munich hotel from W.P. Carey

British investment management company Lifestyle Hospitality Capital (LHC), together with American investment manager Elliott Investment Management, has acquired the five-star, 280-room Roomers Munich, Autograph Collection in Munich, Germany, from American REIT W.P. Carey. The hotel is situated around 1 km west of the central train station. The property is set to undergo refurbishment and repositioning under the management of Dublin-headquartered Dean Hotel Group, a subsidiary of LHC. This will be the Dean Hotel Group’s first hotel outside of Ireland, expanding its current portfolio of nine hotels.

Brady Hotels acquires Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell, Ireland

Australian owner-operator Brady Hotels, via its newly-formed Irish subsidiary Brady Hotels Ireland, has acquired the four-star, 224-room Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf & Country Club in Ballyconnell, Ireland. Developed on a 121 hectare site in 1990, the resort includes an 18-hole championship course, a 9-hole academy course, and a spa with 13 treatment rooms. The property was listed for sale earlier this year with an asking price of €35 million (€156,300 per room). Situated within ‘Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands’ close to the border with Northern Ireland, the property is surrounded by lakes and has seen investment of around €7.5 million since 2019. This acquisition brings Brady Hotels’ portfolio to a total of five hotels, with the others situated in Melbourne, Australia.

Rica Eiendom acquires Scandic Ørnen in Bergen, Norway, from OPF

Norwegian owner-operator Rica Eiendom has acquired the four-star, 368-room Scandic Ørnen in Bergen, Norway, from Norwegian pension fund Oslo Pensjonsforsikring (OPF). The hotel is situated in the city centre of Bergen, Norway’s second largest city, just a four-minute walk from its central train station and the Grieghallen concert hall. Built in 2014, the Scandic Ørnen is one of the largest hotels in Bergen, and includes 13 meeting rooms. Following this acquisition, Rica Eiendom controls 22 properties comprising approximately 3,150 rooms across Norway.

Victoires Haussmann SGP acquires O’Lord Residence in Paris from Eternam

French asset management company Victoires Haussmann SGP has acquired the four-star, 19-apartment O’Lord Residence de Luxe Champs-Elysées aparthotel in Paris, France, from Eternam-managed Phoenix Club Invest fund. Situated in Paris’s 8th district on a street parallel to the Champs-Élysées and just a five-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe, the property opened in 2021 following a two-year conversion from an office building. This marks the second acquisition under Victoires Haussmann SGP’s Ulysse Fund, exclusively dedicated to luxury hotel residences, following the acquisition of the 12-apartment Villa Garbo in Cannes.

Scottish owner-operator Apex Hotels has acquired the five-star, 49-room Vineyard Hotel & Spa in Newbury, UK, from Sir Peter Michael and family, who have owned and operated the property since its opening in 1996. The hotel is situated in West Berkshire, around 100 kms west of London and ten-minutes’ drive outside the market town of Newbury, home to one of England’s best-known horse racing courses. Following Apex Hotels’ recent acquisitions of the four-star, 29-room Pine Trees in Pitlochry and the four-star, 51-room Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course, both in Scotland, this marks its third country house hotel and brings its portfolio to eleven hotels in the UK.
