A$AP Rocky is back behind the design table, and this time reimagining eyewear for the future. His new role as Creative Director at Ray‑Ban has just hit a high point with the Next Generation Collection, a trio of futuristic sunglasses that debuted during his AWGE runway show at Men’s Paris Fashion Week this past June.

The latest A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban drop includes three bold, new silhouettes: Ultra Wrap 001, 002, and 003. All three frames were showcased on the runway in signature black, though options in translucent gold and mirrored shades are now also available to buy online on RayBan.com and SunglassHut.com. Presented in collector-grade plexiglass cubes stamped with the Ray‑Ban x A$AP Rocky seal, these wraparound shades feel like high-fashion streetwear meets space-age, sci-fi flair.

The futuristic eyewear premiered on the AWGE runway by Rocky in Paris, aligning with his “Obligatory Fashion” show, which dissected themes of uniformity and identity through clothing (that included using everything from court documents to metal detectors as theatrical backdrops). This new line represents a step forward in Rocky’s evolving ethos as Ray‑Ban’s Creative Director, following off the heels of April’s Blacked Out Collection release. The remix of iconic Ray‑Ban models like Wayfarers and Clubmasters marked a trajectory toward rockstar-vibe maximalist aesthetics (those sunnies featured gold-plated details and a “tattoo” style AWGE logo on the temple tip). The Next Generation frames lean even further into hyper-futuristic design with bold curves and a defined fit.

“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving,” Rocky previously said of the partnership, in a statement. “I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”

These sculptural shades aren’t budget buys, though — each these pairs are priced starting $874, but these are crafted for collectors and fans who really do want to invest in a wearable vision of the future. With this release, Rocky is steering Ray‑Ban into bold new territories, all while working to drop his first album since 2018’s Testing. The album, titled Don’t Be Dumb, is slated to release this year, and on July 3, Rocky dropped “Pray4DaGang” as an Apple Music exclusive for the first 24 hours, seemingly a new look into a new era. Rocky also performed an unreleased track from the album at Rolling Loud California earlier this year.

All three Next Generation styles (as well as the previous Blacked Out collection) and can be found on RayBan.com and SunglassHut.com now.
