Hilton continues its expansion in Greece with the upcoming opening of three hotels under its lifestyle brands, Curio Collection by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton. These new properties will further strengthen Athens’ hotel offering by 2026.
A strategic development for Hilton in Greece
Announced on February 20, 2025, this expansion is based on franchise agreements signed with Aluma Greece IKE. The properties include Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Anise Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, both set to open in 2025, as well as Skylark Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, scheduled for 2026.
“Hilton’s growth in Greece has accelerated tremendously in recent years, representing our ongoing confidence in its appeal as a leading destination for global travelers. More than 60 years since the opening of our first hotel in Athens, we are excited to build our presence in the city with these three hotels under our Curio and Tapestry brands. Having recently introduced the Hilton Garden Inn brand to the Greek capital, and with the forthcoming opening of Conrad Athens The Ilisian, we are thrilled to be working alongside Aluma Greece IKE to add a further 500 rooms to our Athens portfolio.” – Chris Nassetta, President and CEO, Hilton
Three hotels anchored in Athens’ revitalization
Located near Omonoia Square, Adia Aluma Athens, Curio Collection by Hilton will offer 215 rooms, a restaurant, a lobby bar, a rooftop bar, and wellness facilities, including a fitness studio and two treatment rooms. This historic district of Athens has undergone a major transformation in recent years, with a growing number of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Skylark Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will feature 191 rooms and a premium experience with its rooftop terrace, bar-restaurant, swimming pool, two meeting rooms, and wellness area.
Lastly, Anise Aluma Athens, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will mark the debut of the Tapestry brand in the vibrant Evripidou district. The 99-room property will include a restaurant, a rooftop bar with a pool, a meeting room, and a fitness center.
A broader expansion strategy
With these three openings, Hilton strengthens its position in the Greek market, where it already operates 10 hotels, including Hilton Garden Inn Athens Syggrou Avenue and Lindian Village All-Inclusive Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton. In 2025, Hilton will also introduce Conrad Athens, marking the first presence of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Greece.
