Just a few weeks into his NBA career, Bronny James is dealing with an injury.

Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Los Angeles Lakers listed the rookie as doubtful for Tuesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz because he’s dealing with a left heel contusion following his second G League appearance.

James has seen limited action in the NBA thus far, appearing in just six games and averaging 2.7 minutes per game. He’s scored just four points—two against the Cleveland Cavaliers in October and two against the Memphis Grizzlies a few weeks ago.

His time in the G League hasn’t been great either, as he’s putting up just five points, three assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in his first two contests for the South Bay Lakers. He’s also shooting 21.1 percent from the field and hasn’t made a three-point attempt yet.

James is set to have a non-traditional experience during his first season in the G League. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and McMenamin explained earlier this season that James would only play in the South Bay Lakers’ home games and spend time on the road alongside his father, LeBron James, and Los Angeles’ NBA squad.

That might not give him the chance to log as many minutes, but it would allow him to get comfortable with the pace of the NBA and all that comes with road trips.

The Lakers face Utah on Tuesday while South Bay has a matchup with the San Diego Clippers on Wednesday. Whether James will be able to suit up for either is to be determined.
