Mr. Standridge has distinguished himself as the owner of Christian Brothers Automotive – Lexington, a full-service auto repair company in Lexington, South Carolina, since 2018. In this capacity, he is deeply engaged with both his team and guests, overseeing operations and administrative responsibilities while fostering a great team environment. Mr. Standridge is a passionate advocate for small business ownership, considering his most significant achievement to be the successful operation of his business while following his faith-based principles to make a meaningful impact. His commitment to daily, deliberate effort has been instrumental in maintaining the business’s forward momentum.
Prior to Christian Brothers Automotive, Joshua worked in the nuclear energy field for eight years as a nuclear test engineer, engineering manager and project manager. His experience was a mix of government and private sector with the US Navy at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Westinghouse Electric Company.
In addition to his civilian career, Mr. Standridge has served with distinction as a Lieutenant Colonel in the South Carolina Army National Guard since 2004. His experience includes a mix of command and staff positions during multiple operations to include Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq), Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and multiple natural disaster and hurricane responses in the state of South Carolina. His military service has provided him with extensive leadership experience and a strong sense of duty to his community and country.
Mr. Standridge’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Citadel, awarded in 2006. Subsequently, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2024. Mr. Standridge holds several professional certifications that underscore his expertise, including those as a Lean Six Sigma black belt professional, a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, and a Professional Engineer from the State of South Carolina.
Mr. Standridge is actively involved in several professional organizations that reflect his commitment to both his industry and public service. He has served as President for the Army Engineer Association’s Palmetto chapter, President of the executive council of the National Guard Association of South Carolina and Deacon Chair at his church. He is a member of The Citadel Alumni Association, the University of South Carolina Alumni Association, Leadership South Carolina and Leadership Lexington. Moreover, Mr. Standridge is committed to volunteer engagement, affiliated with Mission Lexington, teaching Sunday school classes at his local Baptist church, and coaching youth sports for his children.
