Before entering the beauty industry full time, I was a “once you find something that works for you, stick to it” kind of girl. I fully stand behind this approach with my makeup, and my body-care routine is no different. After all, I discovered early on that I have sensitive skin after a bout with eczema in my formative years (which thankfully I’ve conquered), but still, I never want to rock the boat too much when it comes to using new products on my body.
In light of that, I’d only used four lotions in nearly 26 years of living, including a few dermatologist-recommended products for my skin type and raw African shea butter from my local marketplace. In recent years, I’ve also added Vaseline’s Cocoa Radiant Lotion into my repertoire, and it has never let me down. So after the brand released its Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil ($9) and “Love Island USA” star Olandria Carthen wore it to the VMAs, I had to see what the hype was about. Of course, it did not disappoint — to the point where I’ve been using it every day since I got it.
There are tons of body oils on the market, but nothing has penetrated my skin quite like this one from Vaseline. Not only does it deliver the most dreamy shine (with a hint of sparkle), but it’s formulated with pure cocoa butter that leaves my skin feeling hydrated for hours — even through over eight hours worth of Fashion Week shows. LaQuan Smith sent models down his spring/summer 2026 runway wearing the oil, further convincing me to stock up on more product. Keep reading for my full review, and find out why I’m never going back to body lotions from here on out.

What I Like About the Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil
If there was a body product that I would categorize as being created by God Himself, it’s the Vaseline glazed body gel. Seriously, it’s that good. Although it’s a gel, and those can often be sticky on the skin, this one’s the total opposite. For one day of New York Fashion Week, I wore a satin dress after applying the oil, and it didn’t transfer onto my clothes. My skin stayed moisturized and glowy all day long without having to reapply. Even eight hours later when I got home, my legs still looked as if I had recently applied the product post-shower. I’ve found that it works perfectly in humid temperatures, and I can tell it’s going to keep my skin super hydrated when the weather really starts to cool down this fall. I’m also obsessed with vanilla-scented products, and the gel’s fragrance served as a perfect base to my perfume combinations each day.
How to Use the Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil
Similar to any body oil that comes in an oval-shaped bottle, you can use the Vaseline body gel by simply squeezing it onto your skin and then rubbing it in until you get your desired level of moisture. I will note that a little goes a long way, so you’ll be good with a small dot-sized amount.
What to Consider Before Trying the Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil
The main thing to keep in mind before adding the Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil to your routine is how to use it. While it didn’t transfer to my satin dress after applying, certain fabrics like chiffon and polyester don’t exactly mix well with oily products, so I would err on the side of caution when wearing outfits that incorporate those textiles.
Where Is the Vaseline Glazed & Glisten Golden Hour Body Gel Oil Available?
