New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed is expected to travel to Los Angeles, CA, to undergo meniscus surgery on Thursday, according to Saints HC Dennis Allen. A timetable for his return is currently unknown, as it will be determined during the surgery whether he needs a full repair or just a trim.
Dennis Allen said WR Rashid Shaheed will be headed out to LA to have surgery, and he has no time frame after that.

Allen was asked if there was a possibility that we see Shaheed land on IR, to which he responded, “There’s a chance.” If a full repair of the meniscus is needed, that would mark the end of the former Pro Bowler’s promising 2024 season.
This is a significant blow for New Orleans, as Shaheed was currently leading the team in receiving yards (349) and receiving touchdowns (3), while also trending toward another All-Pro season as a return specialist. The former Weber State Wildcats star has been one of the most lethal big-play threats in all of football since entering the league as an UDFA. He’s recorded 10 career touchdowns of 40+ yards, the second most in the NFL since 2022, behind none other than Miami Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill.
