Welcome to Fashion Finds! A monthly column where Vogue editors and contributors share their favorite under-$300 buys, from tried-and-true wardrobe essentials to the trending now. While high fashion is the name of the game here at Vogue HQ, we love what feels like a steal as much as we do what’s fresh off the runway. The beauty of personal style is found in the mix, and luxury can be found across price points. So the next time someone on the stops you to ask about where your handbag or coat comes from, you can say, “No, it’s not [insert luxury label], it’s actually [insert under-$300 brand]!”

I once pined over a handbag for three whole years before I bought it. Not because it took me that long to save up for it, but because I had faith that I would one day find it for under $300, and lo and behold, I did—at a sample sale. While I have the patience to do this time and time again in order to build my dream wardrobe, thankfully, I don’t have to.

There are so many great pieces at this price point, including designer tops, fun dresses, and a personal favorite, sky-high heels. Here are a few of my favorites, all available to shop right now.

Black Suede Studio Brea Mules

Some days I want to dress practical, others I want to dress like Barbie. These objectively perfect mules are for the latter.

Their Toni Simple Locket 14K Recycled Gold Vermeil

As someone who is extremely sentimental, I’ve always been drawn to lockets. The simplicity of this one is so chic; I can’t wait to add pics of my niece and nephew to it.

Our Legacy Ragged Distressed Mesh and Cotton-Blend Crochet Tank

I know that wearing this shirt may land me a lengthy debate with a relative about why I insist on dressing in ripped clothes, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take in the name of personal style.

Mother x La DoubleJ The Button Vagabond Denim Midi Skirt

Though I own a few pieces that are only appropriate for a select few occasions, the bulk of my wardrobe consists of dresses and separates that I can wear to the office, to brunch, to a birthday party, to wherever. A denim A-line skirt perfectly fits the bill.

Baum und Pferdgarten Abi Dress

I bought this dress a few months ago and have already worn it more times than I can count. I love the leopard print, but I’m especially into the ultra-loose fit; it’s so comfortable.

Looking like a million bucks but spending less than $200 is what I strive for. Therefore, I need this dress immediately.

I slip into sandals as soon as the weather permits, and I currently have my eye on this strappy pair, which I can style with almost anything.

Chloe Malle’s Under-$300 Edit

Nothing thrills me more than asking a chic colleague for credits on their look and hearing “J.Crew, Banana Republic, COS, and Zara” as an answer (instead of say, The Row!) and knowing I too can look like that for under-$300, even under-$100, if the case may be!

It’s still February but when I’m online window shopping I’m starting to think about spring. I want crisp, primary-colored separates this season, from red Keds to sailor tops. Everything I’m eyeing and shopping for the new season, under $300, ahead.

I never met a sailor shirt I didn’t like, this one from Kule is particularly seafaring!

Laia Garcia-Furtado’s Under-$300 Edit

I can count on one hand the number of items in my closet that I’ve bought for more than $300 dollars. This is because my number one rule for shopping is that I don’t ever spend more than $300 on anything. I buy a lot of things second-hand on eBay or TheRealReal and if there’s anything current season that I absolutely need to have I will just go on a deep Google rabbit hole to see the places it’s being carried, then wait for it to go on sale, checking back in periodically to make sure it’s not sold out in the meantime.

The round-up here are probably things that are the building blocks of my wardrobe; even as trends come and go these things are always in rotation: a short skirt suit, white flats, a good pencil skirt, a pair of sneakers in an obnoxious color, a great pair of jeans, kitten heels, and some good accessories. There’s little outfits that can be made from these, too, but of course the fun part is to mix and match.

Zara Peplum Blazer & Miniskirt

I love a little short suit because it’s classic and a little cheeky. The first one I ever bought was navy. I like that it’s a neutral that’s not black because when you mix it with other colors it becomes more playful.

Cos Square-Toe Court Shoes

I don’t know why white shoes are so maligned but I love them, especially in the winter when worn with a contrasting pair of tights, I love the square toe because it reminds me of ballet pointe shoes but also because it always looks good under wide-leg pants.

Cos

Calzedonia 50 Denier Tights

A few seasons ago I bought a pair of red tights just to have and guess what, I love them. An all-red look? Absolutely. Red and navy? A winner. I bet they’d look great with the little brown suit, too.

Calzedonia

50 Denier tights

Eckhaus Latta Spiral Long-Sleeve Shirt

I am really going through a red era. This is the best long sleeve tee ever (and I’ve recommended it here before). It seems straightforward but the details—semi-sheer, ribbed, with asymmetrical seams—makes it stand out and elevate whatever you wear it with. I have it in red and black.

Eckhaus Latta

spiral long-sleeve shirt

LII Faux Fur Midiskirt

I love a fancy skirt, especially because 80% of the tops in my wardrobe are vintage band T-shirts so it’s an easy pairing. LII is one of my new New York brands (like really new, this skirt is from the first collection). The best thing about this skirt is the back is just a regular sturdy twill fabric so you don’t have to worry about the texture looking crazy when you sit down.

Nike LD-1000 Sneakers

I will always love a pair of sneakers with a dress or a skirt, trends be damned. The caveat is that the sneakers always need to be in a really bold color so it feels purposeful, and they have to be a kind of retro-style, never a dad style. These pink and red Nikes are exactly right.

Banana Republic Shaggy Merino Cardigan

When it gets really really cold, I stop caring about looking cool and all I want to do is be warm and cozy. This cardigan ensures that there’s still a level of excitement in my outfit even as I’m buried underneath tons of layers.

Banana Republic

Gap Baggy Jeans

A good pair of jeans is essential. Right now I am alternating between the Re/Done Mel Jean (at $325 out of budget for this list, but let me tell you, SO worth it), and these baggy jeans from the Gap. I think technically they are menswear but that’s why the “baggy” part looks good–the extra trick is to size up so you get the proper ’90s slouch.

Martine Rose x Clarks Slingback Heels

I love a kitten heel and these sling-backs by Martine Rose in collaboration with Clarks are really perfect. The puffy silhouette is just weird enough and of course they are very comfortable.

Martine Rose

Clyde Volo Hat

Suddenly this year a regular beanie wasn’t doing it for me, so now I’m into bonnets. This navy and yellow wool hat by Clyde is another way to make a boring winter fit fun—especially if your coat is a neutral color.

Chopova Lowena The Mask Necklace

I believe everyone should have some Chopova Lowena in their closet. Their skirts are obviously a classic but do not sleep on their necklaces! They really make a statement.

Collina Strada Splash Stella Dangle Earrings

I love Collina Strada jewelry. It’s just fun.

Willow Lindley’s Under-$300 Edit

The thrill of the score looms large for me, as both an editor and a customer. To me, there is nothing better than finding that cult item that is both affordable and covetable—and I love sharing my finds as much as buying them for myself.

Whether it’s a quality staple made even better, like Uniqlo’s Heattech in cashmere, or a freshly launched collaboration (I’m keeping a close eye on a pair of embellished Wales Bonner x Adidas coming out in spring), my approach to fashion has always been how a piece makes me feel. I search for well-made items, regardless of where they are from or what price point they fall in. I have my go-tos: Cos for knitwear, and Dorsey for jewelry, for example.

My style is pretty classic, but I also like to be sure there is a little bit of sparkle and shine thrown in for fun. Basic but not boring, right?

Dorsey Lucien White Sapphire Earrings

I wear these earrings everyday. They were a birthday present to myself and a gift that keeps giving.

Banana Republic Crop Flare Everywhere Pants

These Banana Republic pants are the perfect everyday pant. I bought them in the long length. Stretchy like a legging but they look like a trouser and hold you in in all the right places. Plus, as the holidays approach, these are perfect to roll up in a suitcase for any and all occasions.

Mai Morsch’s Under-$300 Edit

My colleagues at Vogue often tease (though I take it as a compliment!) that I am the queen of basics. Though I am constantly surrounded by beautiful fashion in my role as an editor, you’ll rarely find me in an outfit that strays far from my tried-and-true formula of vintage Levi’s and a T-shirt or cashmere sweater. My time at the magazine has taught me that there is serious value in the capsule wardrobe, and the truth of the matter is the majority of my closet consists of pieces that are accessible and not overly expensive.

I like to think I have the special skill of finding things that look way more luxurious than their price tag reflects. One key to this is paying close attention to composition, staying away from anything that isn’t made of natural fibers: 100% cotton, silk, cashmere or wool are always a sure bet. Fit is also crucial; more expensive designer clothing plays more freely with proportion, so don’t be afraid to size way up or down in an item in order to create a more sophisticated silhouette. While I don’t believe in dupes, these tips will help you easily stock up on wardrobe essentials that mimic the look of more expensive pieces. After all, there is always vintage if you are looking for something that is more trend forward or statement making–it’s a much more sustainable and economical way to shop!

Below, find some of my favorite pieces and a few wish list items that you are sure to wear over and over again.

Cos Merino Wool Top

This merino wool top from Cos is perhaps my most worn wardrobe staple. I love the slim and elongated fit and slightly sheer composition. For daytime, it looks great layered with a tank underneath, though I’ll often wear it at night with a silk bra for a subtly sexy look. What I love most about it are the thumbholes! Sounds simple, but this small detail elevates the total look.

Agolde Clara Jeans

Every time I wear the “Clara” jeans from Agolde, I get stopped on the street. They have a truly baggy fit that sits low on the hips, making them look effortless. I tend to belt them and pair them with a slim fitting top for an easy day-to-night silhouette. Stretch denim is my ultimate fashion pet peeve, and these are nice and weighty.

Agolde

Organic by John Patrick Slip Dress

A recent discussion in the office on the best slip dress with Camilla Nickerson led me to the Organic by John Patrick website. After all, if it is Camilla-approved it has to be good. I immediately ordered the ankle length slip and must admit it really is the best, especially for the price. I’ve worn this with a long sleeve T-shirt underneath as well as a sweater over top. It is a great layering piece, but will also be chic on its own during the warmer months.

Organic by John Patrick

Porto Pouch

This small pouch from Porto is at the top of my wish list. It is perfectly minimalist and seems ideal for either day or evening. I often joke that I carry many small bags within a big bag, and this pouch fits the bill of carrying all of my essentials. Available in multiple gorgeous colors, the only difficult part will be deciding which one to get!

J.Crew Cashmere Sweater

For the majority of the year, I am wearing a pair of jeans and a cashmere sweater nearly every day of the week. I have amassed a good collection of knits, but consistently return to the classic cashmere crewneck from J.Crew’s men’s section. I almost always prefer the fit of men’s knitwear and the quality of this sweater is really great for the accessible price. I own an embarrassing amount of these (look out for the sales!), all in different colors and sizes to fit my mood.

J.Crew

A.P.C. New Standard Jeans

The last thing I need to invest in is another pair of jeans, but I will say I have had my eye on a pair of raw denim jeans from A.P.C. for quite some time now. I usually gravitate towards vintage or baggier fits, but I’m lacking a pair suitable for a nice evening out. This style has absolutely zero stretch and is very stiff, but they certainly do look sharp.

Thistle Sunglasses

These sunglasses are the perfect alternative to the classic wayfarer. They’re sleek and go with everything, and I like how they are very minimally branded. I also own the ‘AL’ from Thistles, and highly recommend them for a more fashion forward, but still very timeless, look.

Thistles

Hervé Chapelier Tote

I’ll never forget stealing my mom’s Hervé Chapelier tote bag when I was in middle school to wear as my school bag–I felt very chic in my stance against the backpack. A few years later, I visited the store in Paris and bought an oversized tote of my own, which I still use whenever I travel. You can’t go wrong with anything from the brand; all of their bags are practical, durable, and stylish.

Madewell Oversized Tee

I have tested too many T-shirts to count and can confidently say that Madewell makes the best of the best. I particularly like its oversized version–it isn’t too boxy to layer, but is heavy enough that it doesn’t look disheveled as the day goes on.

Madewell

Gap Big Shirt

The “Big Shirt” from the Gap is my ideal button down. It is oversized but the shoulders do not drop too much, making it feel like a true classic. My colleague, Naomi Elizée, and I are often twins in the khaki version and have even been asked if it is The Row.

Lié Studio Belt Bag

I surprised myself with how often I wear this sophisticated belt bag from the Danish brand, Lié Studio. I already loved their jewelry, but found that this simple styling piece is not only practical but also makes even the most simple outfits feel a little more intentional. Plus, it would make a great gift this holiday season.

Flore Flore Baby Tee

When I am looking for a more elevated T-shirt, I adore the brand Flore Flore. The quality is excellent and the fit is fantastic. I love this V-neck shape, especially under a blazer or a deeper V-neck sweater. I’m partial to simple white, but am tempted to stock up on some of their more fun color options.

The Frankie Shop Belt

Everyone needs a simple black belt with a silver buckle in their wardrobe. I can always rely on The Frankie Shop to perfect the basics–their take is both versatile and chic.

Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere Scarf

A great cashmere scarf is a worthy investment that will keep you warm season after season. When searching for a staple piece, I always try to seek out the most classic. Johnstons of Elgin is a heritage brand that always delivers amazing quality.

Loeffler Randall Ballet Flats

These ballet flats from Loeffler Randall are great because they completely cover the toe, which makes them look a bit more put together. They are also so comfortable and still look great (maybe even better?) when they are a bit beat up.

Ben-Amun Cuffs

I don’t tend to wear a lot of jewelry, but I have had my eye on this set of cuffs from New York based designer Ben-Amun. They work equally well with a tank top and jeans or an evening dress.

Irene Kim’s Under-$300 Edit

As the Vogue Runway team’s resident street style expert (I study Phil Oh and Acielle Tanbetova’s street style galleries for my weekly Street Style Trend Tracker column and our seasonal street style trend reports), I’ve been able to refine my style tastes since I first started working at Vogue. These days I’m easily able to identify what brand someone is wearing in Oh and Tanbetova’s galleries and often tracking the accessories they’re sporting to add to my own wish list.

Being 26 years old, and a recent-ish college graduate, I’m always on the hunt for a good bargain, whether that means I’m shopping at more accessible and contemporary brands like Dôen or Zara or buying vintage. Most of the time you’ll probably find me sporting some sort of denim whether I’m just wearing my go-to favorite baggy jeans from Agolde or a Canadian tuxedo. And if you do ever see me in a dress or skirt, chances are that it’s probably from Dôen. When you find me loving an item of clothing so much, you’ll see me wear it weekly until I find my next item of choice, and you’ll find that I have backups in my closet at my parent’s house just in case the brand decides to stop making the item and I’m forever without my favorite shirt or sweater.

I’m often looking to my colleagues for the best suggestions on what to buy. I’m a frequent reader of Laura Jackson’s Under-$300 edit, and can always count on our shopping team to always know of a cheaper version of something I want. These days my most coveted list includes Khaite’s Isla jeans and heeled loafers from Maryam Nassir Zadeh and my nightly pastime is looking for similar items at a more reasonable price point.

Below, I’ve scoured the internet to share some of my favorite under-$300 purchases and those on my fall/winter wish list.

Dôen Vivian Solstice Sky Top

If there’s one brand I could wear for the rest of my life it would be Dôen. One of my go-to outfits when I truly have nothing to wear is to wear a Dôen blouse tucked into a pair of straight-leg jeans. The blouses from the brand are just effortlessly loose and breezy but also still make you look just put together enough like you tried.

The Garment Como Polo

Lucky for me, I sit next to our Senior Archive Editor, Laird Borrelli-Persson who is our resident Copenhagen expert. A few seasons ago, she introduced me to the brand The Garment and since then they’re one of my favorite brands to shop for. I have a white polo short sleeved knit from them that I love so much that I bought two more when I found them on resale sites for a great deal. The knits are a bit pricey, but well worth it quality wise as they’re not only fashionable but also hold up through normal wear and tear.

Madewell’s Essential Bucket Tote in Suede

This bag is so good that I am constantly getting stopped on the street or in the office (even by Mark Holgate!) on where my bag is from. And every time I say Madewell, everyone is so shocked as they were expecting a more pricier answer from The Row or Toteme. With this bag not only are you balling on a budget, but also investing in a piece that you’ll have for years to come all for the price of $178.

Madewell

SoldOut.NYC’s The Everything Shirt

I sat across from Kiane von Mueffling this summer at a Dôen dinner. I had previously heard and seen the brand before as our senior market editor, Madeline Fass has worn their button ups many times in the office, but I was always reluctant to try it because I wasn’t sure if it was worth the price and if I would get the same look as all of the pretty Insta-girls who are often seen frequenting the brand. Now I’m a loyal SoldOut.NYC fan and can guarantee that this is the best button up money can buy under $300. With this one top, you’ll never need another shirt again (since getting mine, I’ve worn it weekly) and it’s so good that even at the 20th anniversary CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund dinner, I’ve had multiple designers come up to ask me where my shirt was from.

Wales Bonner Samba Millenium

I buy one sneaker a year, and it’s always from the Wales Bonner x Adidas collaboration. The latest drop featuring a metallic front and a croc embossed brown back is one of my favorites and was immediately at the top of my birthday wish list in October. Luckily I was able to secure a pair and as a seasonal Wales Bonner x Adidas buyer I highly recommend trying on some sneakers in men’s sizing at your local Adidas store before making your online purchase. Adidas shoes tend to run a tad bigger for me so this saves you the hassle from all those online returns.

Madewell’s Wide Sweep Denim Trousers

I’m constantly inspired by new outfit ideas at the office, and my latest office fashion icon is our very own Virginia Smith. Since last spring, she’s been sporting two amazing pair of wide legged jeans that are from Khaite. But unfortunately for me, Khaite is out of my price range and even if I wanted these jeans, they’re sold out everywhere in my size. I saw Lisa Aiken try these Madewell jeans on her Instagram story and immediately ordered them. They’re not as wide leg as Virginia’s amazing Khaite jeans but are close enough for me as I’m only 5 ‘7 as if they were a bit wider they might be too overpowering.

Madewell

Zara Bib Collar Blouse

I love channeling a sort of prairie core vibe with my outfits and the easiest way to do so is by sporting a collared blouse in a gingham or plaid. This one from Zara checks all the boxes: a slightly puffy long sleeved, a frilly collar, and comes in a navy colorway which is one of my favorite shades to wear.

Zara

Damson Madder Denim Sailor Jacket

I love denim and I love a sailor collar. This Damson Madder is the best of both worlds and looks super cute when styled with a pair of similarly dark wash jeans and metallic sneakers.

Damson Madder

J.Crew Corduroy Wide Leg Trousers

I love a corduroy pant and this season I’m also loving wide leg pant shapes. I recently bought this pair from J.Crew and while I have yet to wear it, I’m very excited to style it with a nice long coat when it gets a little bit more chilly.

Zara Leather Loafers

This summer I got a pair of heeled loafers similar to these from the J.Crew x Maryam Nassir Zadeh collab and they are one of my favorite shoes ever. The only con is that they are white, which isn’t really a fall/winter-friendly color in my opinion. Zara has a pair in a luxe khaki green colorway and were immediately added to my cart when I saw them. My only hope is that they are as comfortable as the J.Crew ones!

Zara

ruched leather loafers

Zara Waxed Cape

I haven’t worn a cape since I was probably around six years old, but this year I’ve been really drawn to them again ever since Chemena Kamali had some beautiful leather capelets at her debut runway show for Chloé. Unfortunately the Chloé one is thousands of dollars but this Zara one is not. And the plus for this one is that it’s waxed and has a hood so it can also be worn in the rain.

The Robinson Spazzolato Phone Crossbody From Tory Burch

If I’ve noticed one thing from my street style observations from this season is that cell phone straps and mini crossbodies just for your phones are the hottest new accessory of the season. Why you may ask? Well for starters, pickpockets in Europe are stealing more phones than ever, and a little bag for your phone means that your tech goods are close to you for when you need to social or document any important moments.

Laura Jackson’s Under-$300 Edit

Shopping writer Laura Jackson here! You may have seen my byline across Vogue Shopping’s seasonal trend reports, weekly outfit-formula stories (like how to incorporate suede in your wardrobe or chic ways to style out fall in the city), our many fabulous footwear breakouts, or even the street style recaps post-fashion week. But what you may not know is that I’m the fashion detective behind our beloved under-$300 edit. Each week, I spend hours scouring the internet and our favorite fashion retailers to dig up the best affordable pieces that look as good as their price point. This month, though, 12 of those It items deserve more than just their usual callout.

In my very own shopping cart (and now closet), there’s Mango’s leopard-print coat, which I’ve been wearing with everything from miniskirts to blue jeans, Gap’s festive Fair Isle sweater that is perfectly autumnal, and a fresh flannel shirt from Zara that’s a total twist on the classic but in the best way possible. Like most, I’m particularly obsessing over suede, from sumptuous midi skirts to polished penny loafers, and I’ve also included standout styles from Source Unknown and G.H. Bass, below.

You might be asking yourself “what makes a great under-$300 find?” or even questioning its quality. As an avid shopper both personally and professionally, my advice is to find your go-to retailer, one whose pieces you’ve tried, tested, and ultimately loved. I, myself, am a Mango girl, known to sport everything from their trendy coats to their chic cardigans. Each month, you’ll meet new editors and contributors whose style might align more with closely with Cos or Zara, or even contemporary labels, like Aligne and Pixie Market. Personal style—and the way and the where people shop—is a great way to get to know someone, and yourself, too.

Below, my ultimate under-$300 fashion edit for fall—pieces that can be worn together for a seriously chic look but also shine on their own just the same. They even hold up next to your most luxurious items!

Mango Leopard-Print Coat

Fall’s leopard-print mania is hard to ignore. The feline print has made its mark on everything from footwear to slinky slip skirts—the latter feeling especially nostalgic. While my personal style tends to lean more minimal, I’m no stranger to adding a playful print or two. So naturally, when I scrolled past this Mango print coat, it was an instant add to cart. I’ve styled it for dressier, more evening occasions with a black miniskirt and pair of kitten heels, and as casual weekend-wear with just a plain white tee and a blue jean.

Pixie Market Oversized Bomber Jacket

An edgy leather jacket is a style no-brainer in any cold-weather capsule wardrobe. And while there’s nothing wrong with a heavy metal moto jacket, slouchier styles are reigning supreme for fall. They first debuted on the runways—as most It items do—at Chloé, Saint Laurent, and Khaite, followed by total street style domination, spotted on nearly everyone from models off duty to Vogue editors alike. At just under-$300, Pixie Market’s leather bomber is the one to cop. With a relaxed fit and chic olive green fur collar, it adds an inherent coolness to any outfit in mind. I love how it looks styled atop a simple grey hoodie—very Miu Miu FW23-coded—or a sultry, lace-trim slip skirt à la Chloé.

Gap Fair Isle Cropped Cardigan

Festive Fair Isle sweaters go beyond the wood frame of snowy ski chalets to feel right at home in any wardrobe thanks to designers like Khaite, Loewe, Gucci, and even Gap, who incorporate the pattern into their core winter collections and show us how it can be worn well before (and after) the holiday season. Invoking a sense of nostalgia, Gap’s cropped cardigan is a heavy hitter in any fall wardrobe rotation, pairing well with everything from corduroy pants and velvet trousers to shin-grazing leather skirts. Not to mention that it’s just chunky enough, laying comfortably underneath any outwear option at hand. Its contrasting chocolate brown shades make it the new neutral I never knew I needed. Styling-wise, I’ll be wearing mine to and from the office with a tailored trouser and roomy trench coat, and on nights out with a little black miniskirt, slouchy leather jacket, and a strappy heel sandal. You can never be too cozy, after all.

Black Suede Studio Logan Leather Mules

Looking for a fabulous footwear find under $300? Black Suede Studio is Vogue’s go-to. With an array of sleek styles that include polished penny loafers and pointed-toe ankle boots, their perfectly polished kitten heels are the undeniable standout. Take the pair below, for example. With the same wearability as my trusty LBD, I’m eyeing these to wear with everything and everywhere this fall, from my 9-to-5 (or let’s be honest, 9-to-9) to elegant evenings out.

Zara Checkered Ruched Blouse

I’ve never been a particular fan of the oversized flannel shirt—you know, the ones pictured at pumpkin patches and apple orchards, layered over plain white tees and blue jeans. This fall, though, consider my fashion tune changed! I can thank the street style scene, in part, for showing me chic, unexpected ways to style the staple, as well as brands like The Row, Róhe, and Toteme, whose flannels feature new and improved silhouettes, which offer a more flattering, cinched-waist fit. It led me to finding Zara’s red-and-black checkered blouse, a fresh take on the look, which, with its asymmetric hemline and draped side detailing, is also one of the many iterations of the artful top we at Vogue—myself included—are loving for fall.

Source Unknown Lidiane Suede Midi Skirt

Texture thrives during the fall months, but none are as sumptuous—and easy to style—as suede. While suede jackets took over our shopping carts earlier this season, suede skirts are now dominating the scene. When looking for under-$300 fashion finds that deliver both in price point and quality, Source Unknown has the Vogue editor seal of approval. Its seamed suede midi skirt is the perfect example. This fall, I’ll be elevating the essential by styling it with a matching suede boot, lightweight cardigan, and oversized outerwear option. Not to mention that it also transcends seasons—the ultimate 365 staple.

Aligne Satin Long Waistcoat

UK-based brand Aligne is the contemporary label on everyone’s—and we mean everyone’s—lips this fall. Need more proof? Fashion’s favorite It girl, Katie Holmes, is a particular fan of the need-to-know brand, sporting several of their key styles, from outstanding (and affordable!) outerwear options to their viral drawstring jeans. I, on the other hand, am drawn to their sleek tailoring takes, which include button-up waistcoats and collarless blazers. I plan on making the below style, in an elegant satin, the centerpiece of my holiday wardrobe. I imagine it will add a chic touch to festive sequin skirts, a pair of luxe velvet pants, or even a matching satin miniskirt. Fall and winter temperatures don’t exactly scream “sleeveless,” so I’ll be layering in a cropped faux fur jacket or tailored wool overcoat for some much-needed added coverage.

Banana Republic Vida Slouchy Suede Bag

If there is an item that I get stopped about the most or receive the most compliments about, it’s this slouchy suede shoulder bag from Banana Republic. It looks as luxurious as it feels and is roomy enough to fit all my necessary purse essentials. I could wax poetic about its star status in my cold-weather wardrobe for hours, but I’ll save you the sappiness. My final word of advice? Shop it now while you still can!

Aligne Marcus Corduroy Horseshoe Trousers

A cool pair of chocolate brown corduroys is a fall wardrobe mainstay for a reason, but this year, Aligne’s cherry red cords are the color pop I’ve been searching for. With an oversized horseshoe shape, they’re casual by design, making them the ultimate off-duty staple. And if you ask any of my Vogue coworkers, they’ll tell you that I’m not necessarily a pants person, but with these, I’d have to beg to differ. I added them to my everyday lineup earlier this season and never looked back.

Rails Cherry Lace-Trim Satin Slip Skirt

I love an unexpected closet combination, and this FW24 season, I felt inspired when seeing how labels like Chloé, Saint Laurent, and Khaite styled their edgy leather jackets with romantic, lace-trim slip skirts and dresses. Needless to say, the juxtaposition of the two fashion moods had me hooked, and more importantly, racing to my already overflowing shopping cart. I was drawn to Rails’s lingerie-inspired skirt almost immediately and have visions of styling it à la the runways with a leather bomber jacket, as well as with a chunky knit sweater, a styling duo particularly loved at Vogue HQ.

G.H. Bass Layla Weejuns Loafers

I know, I know, I don’t need another penny loafer, but this tassel-adorned suede style from G.H. Bass might just be my It buy of the season. Pairing well with almost all items, from worn-in Levi 501s to modern workwear, they embody that trend-to-wardrobe-essential pipeline we all strive for when making a purchase. Adding these to your cart? Trust me, you won’t regret it.

The Frankie Shop Kate Vegan Leather Shorts

Back to that “I’m not necessarily a pants person” proclamation. If I had to choose between a perfectly tailored trouser or an ultra-miniskirt or short, I’m picking the latter over and over again. And more specifically, these vegan leather short shorts from the Frankie Shop. During the fall and winter months, you can find me sporting the ones below with everything from chunky sweaters and oversized jackets to sheer black tights and loafers. It’s my unofficial official uniform and I’m sticking to it!
