Smoked Mac and Cheese — Boar City BBQ

Ingredients

  • 1 box of pasta shells
  • 2 tbl butter
  • 1 tbl flour
  • 8 oz of Velveeta cubed (or any other processed cheese of your choice)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tlb chili powder
  • 1 tbl garlic powder
  • ½ cup Vonnie B’s Spicy BBQ Sauce

Instructions

Preheat smoker to 250 degrees with the wood of your choice. Boil pasta until “al dente” and drain. Place pasta in a foil pan. Melt the butter and add flour until slightly thick. Whisk in the milk and cook on low for 2-3 minutes. Add the butter milk, cream cheese and Velveeta and melt completely. Add the shredded cheese and spices mixing constantly. Once the cheese is fully melted pour it over the pasta and mix. Mix in Vonnie B’s Spicy BBQ Sauce. Place on the smoker for 1 hr. Remove from the smoker and serve immediately.

You can do it in the oven too! Time may vary. Make sure to check for desired crisp and golden color on top.
