Accor and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC) announce the opening of the Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, scheduled for late 2027. Located near the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, this luxury hotel will become the eighth property in the exclusive Sofitel Legend collection.
The Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will be the second hotel in this range in Egypt, following the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan. The brand, known for blending French elegance with historic environments, also has properties around the world, including:
- Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama, Panama City
- Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena, Colombia
- Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam
- Sofitel Legend People’s Grand Xi’an, China
- Sofitel Legend The Mozart Prague, Czech Republic (scheduled to open in 2027).
The collection aims to reach 15 properties by 2030, further strengthening Accor’s position in the luxury hotel segment.
Located just 500 meters from the Grand Egyptian Museum, the future Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will offer 303 rooms and suites, infinity pools, a spa, and upscale dining options.
The partnership with ADTIC reflects a shared desire to highlight Egyptian destinations through prestigious tourism projects. This new establishment is part of an effort to meet the growing demand for luxury hotels that integrate cultural and historical elements.
“We are thrilled to bring the Sofitel Legend brand to the iconic Giza landscape with this exceptional project. Here, luxury and history will meet in an unforgettable way. With Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, we are creating a flagship destination that honors Egypt’s rich heritage and culture while marking a major milestone for our brand. We thank ADTIC for their trust, and together, we are excited to establish a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Egypt.” — Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems
“We are very proud to enrich our Sofitel Legend portfolio with this magnificent property, our second Sofitel Legend in Egypt. This unique brand, combining French flair and legendary properties, was relaunched only a year ago. With this third Sofitel Legend signing this year, we are seeing strong momentum for the brand on all continents, with many more projects to come. Our vision is to expand the Sofitel Legend network from six remarkable hotels today to a collection of 15 iconic gems within five years, and we are well on our way to achieving this ambitious goal. We look forward to collaborating with ADTIC to meet the ever-evolving expectations of luxury travelers in Egypt.” — Xavier Grange, Chief Development Officer Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems
