Seasonal slump

How’s your tummy handling all of those turkey sandwiches? You may want to consider a long brisk walk this weekend to shed some of those holiday calories. If not, you can just join us for some good ol’ fashioned video games.

After beating Resident Evil 4, I’m now moving onto Resident Evil Village on the PSVR2. I started this one, but just never really picked it up again for one reason or another. So I’m starting from scratch in prep for Resident Evil Requiem in 2026.

With a whole pile of new games to dive into after a certain holiday a little bit ago, I’ve barely got any clue where to begin. Metal Gear Solid Delta? DOOM: The Dark Ages? Clair Obscur? I’m leaning towards a little bit of everything, I think!

My countdown on 2025 ends — and I’m especially pleased that I took part in every single Push Square WAYP this year — so to celebrate I’ll play my personal favourite game of 2025, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. Cheers and wishing a “Happy New Year” to everyone at Push Square!

Big holiday updates have got me dragging my weary bones to games like Diablo 4 and Monster Hunter Wilds this weekend, as I become a cog in the live service machine. To be fair, I’m also deeply immersed in an upcoming RPG… but I can’t talk about that just yet!

I’m on a bit of a vacation at the moment, so I’ll be keeping gaming limited to my smartphone. That means I’ll probably be building my characters in Zenless Zone Zero, and I might give the mobile port of Where Winds Meet a go, too.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Like last weekend, this one will probably be very casual, with regular standby games Lumines Arise and PowerWash Simulator 2 being the main things I play.
What are you playing this post-Christmas routine? Did Santa bring you any new games to try? As always, let us know what’s keeping you busy in the comments section below.
