My family are huge Star Wars fans. I have fond memories of watching the original trilogy with my parents on VHS tapes as a kid—quite the throwback! The prequel trilogy hit theaters when I was a tween, and that paved the way for a deep and never-ending crush on Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
Every time a new Star Wars series hits Disney+, I feel a similar rush of excitement. The Mandalorian, led by Pedro Pascal, has been a particular highlight of the Star Wars canon. This may have something to do with Baby Yoda, aka Grogu, being the cutest alien to hit theaters since Stitch from Lilo & Stitch.
So when Burger King announced that it was doing a special, limited-edition The Mandalorian and Grogu menu, I knew I had to get my hands on it immediately. As I tasted my way across the galaxy, I found myself coming back to one menu item in particular. Here’s my full review of the meal, and what you can expect from this galactic partnership.
What’s on the Burger King Mandalorian menu?
The menu has four brand-new items that you can order individually or as part of a Bounty Bundle (more on that below). Here’s what’s included:
- BBQ Bounty Whopper: The iconic burger loaded with Swiss cheese, crispy pickle chips, bacon, lettuce, tomato and a creamy Bounty BBQ Sauce.
- Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots: Crispy tots stuffed with cheddar cheese, fluffy potatoes and ranch seasoning.
- Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries: Crispy white meat chicken fries seasoned with Parmesan and garlic and served with garlic dipping sauce on the side.
- Grogu’s Blue Cookie Shake: Creamy soft serve blended with blue sugar cookie syrup and topped with Grogu’s favorite snack—blue cookies!
If you’re a huge Star Wars fan like me, then you will probably want to order the Bounty Bundle, which includes all four new items plus a limited-edition collectible cup.
How does the Burger King Mandalorian menu taste?
BBQ Bounty Whopper

Obviously, any Burger King meal is going to be centered around one glorious item: the Whopper. The BBQ Bounty Whopper is an absolutely phenomenal take on the iconic burger, and the highlight for me was the one-two punch of the crispy pickle chips and BBQ Bounty Sauce.
The sauce is basically a combination of barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, and it’s such a good complement to the Swiss cheese on the Whopper. If you’re a fan of the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, think of this as a sassy little sister to that sandwich. And I mean that as high praise! The Maple Bourbon variation pulls sweet and crunchy, and this BBQ Bounty version is tangy and crunchy.
Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots

If you had the Burger King SpongeBob meal last year, then you’ll remember Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots. They were a highlight for me, and it was something I hoped that BK would keep on the menu. Well, my wishes were granted in the form of the new Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots. The crispy exterior and gooey, cheesy interior are so addictive. I liked combining them with the dipping sauce from the next menu item: garlic chicken fries.
Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries

I have never been a huge fan of chicken fries—I would prefer regular chicken nuggets or tenders instead. Or regular french fries! Sometimes chicken fries get kind of lank and soggy, which is obviously unappealing. Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries are perhaps the best version of chicken fries I’ve ever had, and I think that’s due to the garlic Parmesan coating and the fact that they were genuinely crispy. Or maybe it’s because the box has little pop-out Grogu ears!
But the true star of the show was the garlic dipping sauce.
I loved the garlic sauce so much that I was dipping everything in it: my chicken fries, my cheddar ranch tots and even my Whopper. I ended up getting another garlic sauce just so I could have some with every bite of my meal. It reminds me of a milder form of the Papa John’s garlic sauce—it’s so creamy and not overpowering with garlic flavor. Basically, you could eat it for lunch and not be worried about garlic breath.
Grogu’s Blue Cookie Shake

This tastes like my childhood in a cup. This shake basically tastes like someone pureed those big, soft sugar cookies with thick icing—you know the kind that come in a plastic clamshell at the grocery store? It’s also mildly reminiscent of Christmas or birthday parties. Basically, it’s a celebration in a cup.
I’m surprised by how much I liked this shake, considering I’m not a huge shake fan. I’d rather sip on a fountain Diet Coke with my meals, but after Grogu’s garlic dipping sauce, this shake might be my favorite item on the menu. And the blue color is such a fun Star Wars tie-in.
How long will the Burger King Mandalorian menu be available?
The Burger King Mandalorian menu is available at participating Burger King locations nationwide now. It’s a limited-time menu offering that will only be available while supplies last, so I definitely recommend hitting up your local BK as soon as possible. I mean, what better way to get excited about the new Mandalorian and Grogu movie?
